Brampton & the GTA

Smart Home Automation Installation
in Brampton & the GTA.

Most homes end up with a smart plug here, a video doorbell there, and four apps that do not talk to each other. Whole-home automation means the lighting, climate, shades, security and audio are designed as one system and run from one app, a wall keypad, or your voice.

We design the system, run the wiring it needs, install and program every device, and hand it over working. SmartAura is based in Brampton and installs across the Greater Toronto Area.

What a Whole-Home System Covers

You can automate one of these or all of them. Each one works on its own and joins the same app when you add the next.

Smart Lighting

Switches, dimmers and scenes like Dinner, Movie Time and All Off, run from a keypad, the app or your voice.

Motorized Shades

Blinds and shades that follow the sun and your schedule for privacy, glare control and comfort.

Security and Entry

Cameras, video doorbells, smart locks and garage control, tied into the same app as everything else.

TV and Audio

Mounted TVs with hidden wiring, soundbars and multi-room audio that follow the same scenes.

The Network Underneath

Every smart device depends on the network. We build the wired backbone and Wi-Fi coverage first.

Mesh Wi-Fi and home networking

We also install leak, motion and entry sensors, voice assistants and hubs, and smart garage and gate entry.

Retrofit or New Build

In a finished home, the work is a retrofit. We run cable inside walls where we can, conceal what we add, and use clean surface-mounted options where a wall cannot be opened. Most of the system can go in without a renovation.

In a new build, a renovation, or a basement that is about to be finished, the timing matters more than the products. Open framing is the one chance to run network and control cabling to every room cheaply. If that is where you are, talk to us before the drywall goes up.

Either way, we design the system so you can start with one part and add the rest later without redoing what is already there.

Platforms and Brands We Install

For control, we work with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Control4. If you already use one of them, we build on it.

For hardware, we install Lutron for lighting and shades, Ecobee thermostats, Ring video doorbells, Ubiquiti UniFi networking, and Hikvision and Dahua cameras. We recommend products based on your home and budget, not brand preference.

How a Project Runs

  1. Free consultation. You tell us what you want the house to do. We tell you what that takes.
  2. Site visit. We check the wiring, the network and any devices you already own, then give you a quote and a timeline.
  3. Installation. We run the cable, mount and program the devices, and build your scenes. A full-home system typically takes one to three days.
  4. Handover and support. We walk you through the app and the keypads, and we are available for follow-up visits and remote troubleshooting, Monday to Friday.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does smart home automation installation cost?

It depends on the size of the home, how many devices are automated, and whether the system runs on wireless devices or structured low-voltage cabling. Starter packages for a condo or townhome typically run $650 to $1,600. A whole-floor system for a standard two-storey detached home typically runs $1,800 to $4,800. Comprehensive whole-home automation typically runs $5,000 to $12,500. We quote after a free consultation, so the number reflects your home and not a package.

Can you work with the smart devices I already own?

In most cases, yes. We work with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Control4. During the consultation we look at what you already have and recommend the most compatible path, whether that means integrating your existing devices or replacing specific components.

Do you automate existing homes, or only new builds?

Both. In a finished home we retrofit with as little disruption as possible, using in-wall cable runs, concealed wiring and clean surface-mounted options where a wall cannot be opened. In a new build or renovation, the best time to run cable is before the drywall goes up.

How long does a smart home installation take?

A single-room job can be finished in a few hours. A full-home system with networking, cameras, lighting and climate control typically takes one to three days. You get a timeline estimate during the consultation, before any work begins.

Can I start small and add to the system later?

Yes. Many clients start with one upgrade, such as Wi-Fi or security cameras, and expand over time. We plan the network and the control platform so adding devices later is simple.
